Montrose Care Home

The team at Montrose prides itself on creating a family feel for all the residents. The home is within walking distance of Dorchester’s shops and market.

Activities for our residents

We believe in keeping our residents active, engaged, and socially connected. We arrange local excursions, games, and regular social events to create a sense of community.

We're particularly proud of our strong links with the community. We invite local schools and clubs in to spend time with our residents and we hold weekly Knit and Natter groups at both our Dorchester care homes.

Food and nutrition

Our chefs work really hard to create meals that are nutritious and appetising. They consult residents when they're planning menus, and are used to catering for specialised diets.

Our dining rooms are at the heart of our care homes in Dorchester. We encourage our residents to eat together, as mealtimes are really important social occasions.

We do understand though, that sometimes, a resident may prefer to eat in their own room. We will always listen to our residents’ wishes.

Family is at the heart of everything we do

We have an open-door policy, rather than set visiting times, and welcome families to lots of our social activities.

We value close connections and actively involve families by providing regular updates on their loved one's care, including opportunities for video calls, family days, and social events.

Of course, not every family can be actively involved. We take each resident's family situation into account as we plan their care and activities.

Our communal spaces

All our rooms and gardens are fully accessible, with ramps, handrails, and adaptable bathrooms so that all our residents are able to move around the home.
